As a new adult member of our school you will start with an Introductory Program, where you will learn the basics and self-defense strategy of our school. These lessons will be conducted one on one with an instructor. Upon completion you will then have the option to enroll in one of the Adult Martial Arts programs. A youth student however, will typically join the Youth Karate Programs from the start. We feel that this works better for young people to acclimate to the norms associated with martial arts training when surrounded by peers and future friends.

At Park City Academy we strive to help you get the most out of your training. For people with consistency and dedication, martial arts will become a life-style of achievments and benefits. Just by training at our school you will reap the many rewards that come from learning the martial arts.


Working with the assumption that the martial arts is a marathon and not a race, Mr. Hunter, under the guidance of his seniors, has designed an effective learning plan and program of study that allows you to naturally progress from the white belt all the way to the honored black belt. By nothing more then demonstrating your interest you have already taken that first step in what can be an incredible path!

The Programs at our school are comprised of these main elements:

1) Unique Curriculums: We have carefully laid out sets of coordinated techniques and combat drills organized in the best possible way to facilitate your learning process. We will tailor our curriculums to suit your personal needs. We also provide separate Adult and Youth martial arts programs to further aid you in efficent training.


2) Training Methods: We provide you many specific drills and training practices that are designed to convert the knowledge represented in the curriculum. By doing this it is insuring that you will be able to apply all that you have gained in knowledge and skills under real world circumstances.


3) Attendance: Minimum attendance is required from you so that you can progress, demonstrate proficiency, and be updated with the Hunter’s Martial Arts’ Curriculums. You will have a better chance at achieving success and earning your black belt simply by you making the decision to attend regularly.


4) Belt System: Our belt systems are simply a structure designed to represent your individualized progress in training. It is nothing more then a graded program to represent where you are in your study. It is also designed to recognize you for your personal achievments in the martial arts. Belt systems also help students in their goal setting.


5) Individual Commitment: Most of our extended family at Hunter’s Martial Arts have the dream of becoming a black belt some day. However, you should recognize from the beggining this is long-term goal and a lot of consistency and dedication is required. To fulfill the promise of facilitating your learning, our programs are structured logically to keep you motivated to learn, practice and perform.
